Environmental Subcommittees
Environmental Subcommittees work on an ad hoc basis during the year to communicate industry positions on various rulemaking and legislative matters. The subcommittees cover four different areas: Air, Water, Waste and General Issues.

Subcommittees work toward three goals: (l) To identify and clearly define areas of mutual environmental concern among IMA members; (2) to develop technologically and economically responsible positions for air, water, hazardous waste, solid waste and general environmental issues; these steps will be prioritized and will include a status report, a problem or opportunity statement and recommended steps or solutions; (3) to establish appropriate means of communication among government, industry and the public to foster a cooperative problem-solving approach to key environmental issues.
