Richard G. (Dick) Cutter is currently Vice President Law and Business Affairs, Corporate Secretary of CTS Corporation in Elkhart, Indiana. Dick joined CTS in January 2000 as General Counsel. He became Vice President, General Counsel and Assistant Secretary in September of 2000 and assumed the Corporate Secretary role in 2003. Prior to joining CTS, he spent 10 years with General Electric where he was General Counsel for the GE Silicones business. Dick received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Ball State University in 1968 and his J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1971. In addition to his involvement with the IMA, he is a member of the Executive Advisory Council for the Ball State Miller College of Business. Dick and his wife, Helen, reside in the Granger, Indiana area. CTS Corporation designs, manufactures and sells a broad line of electronic components and custom electronic assemblies for OEM customers primarily in the communications equipment, automotive and computer equipment markets worldwide. CTS operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Scotland, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand China and the Czech Republic. Pat Kiely joined the Indiana Manufacturers Association as president and CEO in 1991. He came to the IMA after serving as an Indiana state representative from District 36 from 1978 to 1991. During his service, he was chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee from 1982 to 1988, chairman of the State Budget Committee from 1983 to 1985 and from 1987 to 1989, and chairman of the State Tax and Financing Policy Commission in 1984, 1986, 1988 and 1990. A graduate of Ball State University, Mr. Kiely also worked as vice president/manager of City Securities Corp. in Anderson from 1983 to 1991 and was owner of Computerland of Indianapolis from 1982 to 1984. Committees to which Mr. Kiely is assigned include the Milken Family Foundation Board, the Indiana Department of Education's State Standards Task Force (since 1992), and the Indiana Economic Development Council (since 1991). He has recently been honored with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management's Environmental Impact Award (1996), Ball State University's Distinguished Alumni Award (1995), and Ball State's College of Business Award of Achievement (1995). In a Dec. 27, 1992, article, The Indianapolis Star chose Mr. Kiely as one of the most important "power players" in the Indiana General Assembly. The article tabbed the IMA as the "preeminent voice of business in Indiana" and stated that Mr. Kiely had "led the IMA to the mountaintop nearly overnight."
