collectively. In fact, the IMA lobbying team is recognized as one of the top lobbying
teams in the state in terms of effectiveness, influence and knowledge. Listed below is a
list of IMA lobbyists, followed by a short bio and a listing of specializations for each.

Patrick J. Kiely,
President Pat Kiely began his career with IMA in 1991. Prior to that, Pat
served in the Indiana House of Representatives for 13 years, and served as Ways and Means
Chairman for eight years. Pat was also Vice President/Manager of City Securities
Corporation, and the former owner of Computerland, the first computer store in
Indianapolis.
Pats areas of specialization include taxes, budget, economy, education and
manufacturing. |

Edward O. Roberts,
V.P. of Human Resources, Labor, Legal and Political Matters Ed Roberts began
his career with IMA in 1977. Prior to that he was on the staff of the Indiana House of
Representatives, an Indianapolis Police Officer and served in the US Air Force during the
Viet Nam conflict.
Eds areas of specialization include workers compensation, unemployment
compensation, health and safety and tort law. He also handles the day-to-day operations of
IMPAC the Indiana Manufacturers Political Action Committee. |

Brian Burton, Vice President,
Marketing & Member Services Brian Burton began his career with IMA in 1999.
Prior to working at IMA, Brian was Vice President of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and
the former Executive Vice President of the Indiana Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Brians areas of specialization are focused mainly in the human resources and
employee benefits arena. |

Jeff Goodwin,
Executive Vice President & COO Jeff Goodwin began his career with IMA in
1990 Prior to that Jeff served as President of the Indiana Association of HMOs and
Prepaid Health Plans, and as a member of the Board of Directors of both the Indiana and
Indianapolis Association of Health Underwriters.
Jeffs areas of specialization include health care and health related insurance
issues as they affect the manufacturing community. |

Mark Cahoon,
V.P. of Government Finance and Economic Development Prior to joining IMA in
1993, Mark was the Executive Director of the Committee on State Taxation, a Washington,
D.C.-based trade association specializing in multi-state corporate tax issues. Also during
that time, Mark served as President of the Council of State Chambers of Commerce, the
national association of state chambers of commerce.
Marks areas of specialization include personal property and real estate tax
assessments, corporate taxes, gross income taxes, sales and use taxes and state budget and
fiscal matters. |

Patrick Bennett,
V.P. of Environment, Energy and Infrastructure Patrick began his career with
IMA in 1999. Previously, he was employed by the Indiana Builders Association as their
Director of Governmental Affairs.
Patricks areas of specialization include legislation and regulation pertaining to
air, water and solid & hazardous waste. Mr. Bennett also provides management services
to industry coalitions on water quality and wetland issues. |
