IMA and We Ask American Release Statewide Survey of Registered Voters
The Indiana Manufacturers Association and We Ask America released a statewide public opinion poll of Indiana voters. Respondents were asked their opinions about the direction of the country and state, current job market, the job performance of its leaders, what issues matter most to them, and about healthcare costs and whether it has affected them or someone in their household.
2020 IMA Legislative Briefing & Reception Connects Members and Legislators
Members, legislators, government officials, and other guest gathered at the JW Marriott on Janaury 8, to connect and share ideas about legislation that is being discussed at the Indiana Statehouse during the 2020 legislative session.
The day began with the IMA Executive Committee meeting, followed by a full Board of Directors meeting. At 3:30 p.m., members gathered to hear the about the most pressing issues to be considered this year. Special guest, Speaker of the House Brian Bosma, discussed his perspective and priorities going into his last session as Speaker. IMA also released the results of its Statewide Survey of Registered Voters, which was conducted by We Ask America. Andrew Weissert, of We Ask America, gave a rundown of the poll results and fielded questions from members.
At 5:00 p.m., members, legislators and guests enjoyed an elegant reception in the JW Marriott's White River Ballroom.
2019 Indiana Manufacturing Survey Released
Manufacturing companies across the state are reporting a serious shortage of skilled and unskilled laborers as they move rapidly towards smart manufacturing, known as “Industry 4.0.”
